The Office of the Chief Economic Adviser is a unit in the Governor's Office, under the leadership of the Executive Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma.
"ÓKÓBÌ is not just a programme, it is a philosophy. Every kindred in Imo State has the ingenuity, the resources, and the will to build a business that creates prosperity for its members and contributes to the growth of our great state."
The One Kindred One Business Initiative was championed by His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma as the economic centrepiece of his administration, drawing on Igbo communal identity to drive enterprise, create jobs, and lift communities across all 27 LGAs of Imo State.
Professor Kenneth Amaeshi
Professor Kenneth Amaeshi was sworn in as the Chief Economic Adviser to the Imo State Government in January 2022. He is a global expert in sustainable finance and economic development and a leading scholar in sustainable business and finance in the global south.
He holds a Chair in Sustainable Finance and Governance at the School of Transnational Governance, European University Institute, Italy. He is also Chair in Sustainable Business at the University of Edinburgh, UK.
His dedication to his home state of Imo shows in his work to promote sustainable economic growth and improve the livelihoods of its citizens.
